Thomas Glick to teach a workshop at St. Louis Community College

The People's Law School is a series of workshops offered  by the St. Louis Community College (STLCC) Continuing Education Department  in cooperation with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL). Each course is designed to teach a particular area of law in laymen's terms so people can become better informed when makng decisions about legal situations as they arise.

Taught by a  distinguised lawyer who currently practices in the area of law being taught, they will explain how the legal system works and provide the class with a basic familiarity of the topic so as to prepare them to make better-informed decisions when confronted with legal situations.

Class size is limited so be sure to sign up as soon as possible.

Course Descriptions, Class Dates and Locations
July. 21, 2012 (7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) – “The importance of planning ahead: Wills, Trusts and Estates.”  This workshop will help you understand the importance of having wills, trusts and power of attorney, and related issues involving the elderly, those with special needs, their families or survivors. Learn about wills, living wills and advance directives; trusts-revocable and irrevocable; joint tenancy; durable powers of attorney; probate, estate administration and disputes; and conservatorship and guardianship.
