Thomas G. Glick Opens a Boutique Practice in Clayton

ST. LOUIS – The Law Office of Thomas G. Glick, LLC (www.tomglick.com) is pleased to announce its opening in Clayton. After five years with a medium size local law firm, founder Tom Glick is excited to return to his own practice. The new firm is located at 201 N. Meramec, Suite 100, on the corner of Pershing Ave. and Meramec Ave. The new location offers clients free surface parking at the street level entrance to the suite.
 
Glick noted “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to experience the level of personal and professional independence I enjoyed from 1999 to 2007 and my experience from that time allows me to focus on the practice of law without having to learn how to manage a practice. The lower overhead of independent practice will allow me charge lower rates in order serve more non-corporate clients that are typical in many of my practice areas. Also the smaller scale practice will allow me to take advantage of the level of technology that clients demand now, including, secure, online access to their client file, online bill payment and paperless filing.” 
 
Since his licensure in 1995, Glick has practiced in the areas probate, estates, trusts, elder law, fiduciary liability, and both transactions and litigation relating commercial and residential real estate. In recent years Glick has also represented school children and their families in special education matters relating to Individual Education Plans (IEP’s).

Glick’s announcement coincides with his election to serve as President of the Board of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM). He previously served as Vice-President of the LSEM Board and received a 2002 Volunteer Lawyer Award from LSEM. Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) has provided high quality legal assistance in civil cases to the low-income community for more than 50 years. www.lsem.org

In 2010-11 Glick served as President of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL). He is also active Missouri Bar is on the Continuing Legal Education Committee and the Probate and Trust Law Committee. He has presented many seminars for continuing legal education, other profession’s continuing education and to the public. He has published more than twenty writings including articles, commentaries and book chapters.

After receiving a B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin, Glick earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Earlier in his legal career, he was a staff attorney to the St. Louis County Probate Court. In addition to LSEM and bar related service, he serves on the Board for Congregation Temple Israel. Glick also lives in Clayton, with his wife Brenda and their sons Alex (age 10) and Jonas (age 7).
